Roseland Week 6: Naughty and nice

Last week, Cyd and Christy got married, had two boys, and earned a lot of money.

The Roseland family currently includes:
Cyd, Knowledge/Romance adult with a job in Architecture and a pet store
Christy, Family/Knowledge adult with a job in Business and a salon
Carter, child
Cameron, baby
Porthos the dog

The Roselands use all the money they earned during Week 5 to move to a new house, right next door to the Long family.

That evening, Cameron becomes a toddler. His personality is 10-1-6-8-10, very different from his older brother's!

The next morning, Christy discovers that she is expecting again--will this baby be mean like Carter or nice like Cameron?

On Tuesday afternoon, Cyd comes home with a promotion to Draftsman.

On Thursday the only interesting things that happen are birthdays. First, another little boy arrives! He is given the name Calhoun.

A few hours later, Cameron becomes a child.

On Friday, Cyd takes a vacation day so Christy can go to work and she snags a promotion to Executive.

She is just in time to help Cal with his birthday. He looks like Carter but his personality is 6-1-6-6-6, which makes him more like Cameron, though one wonders if all those sixes are a harbinger of something. ;)

Carter closes out the series of birthdays by becoming a teen--He's Romance/Pleasure with a LTW of 50 Dream Dates. (Sorry, kid, but I don't get points for that in this challenge and I'm lazy.)

He's turned on by mechanical and athletic skill but turned off by glasses.

On Sunday, DBI reaches Rank 5! That's especially good since, unbeknownst to anyone but the SimGodess, Christy is pregnant again, so their new house is already outgrown.

Stratton/Roseland Week 5: Bucking trends

Last week, Cyd Roseland and his dog Porthos settled in Serenity Valley and were joined by a woman named Christy. 

The Stratton/Roseland family currently includes:

Cyd Roseland, Knowledge/Romance adult, with a job in Architecture and a pet store

Christy Stratton, Family/Knowledge adult, with a job in Business and a salon

Porthos the dog

Cyd rolled the want to get engaged while we were away, so he proposes to a heavily pregnant Christy in the kitchen. They both immediately roll the want to get married, so I stick an arch in their yard and let them go for it.

Carter Roseland is born just a few hours later.

On Wednesday, Cyd is promoted to Architect's Apprentice (and reaches the "Earned $5000" mark.)

Shortly thereafter, Carter grows into a toddler. His personality is 3-8-9-10-1 (Sagittarius)--an evil child is so refreshing after all the nice ones in this 'hood!

Naturally, Christy rolls the want for another baby as soon as Carter ages up.

On Friday, DBI reaches Rank 4, which is very much appreciated given that the Roselands will soon have 4 people and a dog in a tiny 2-bedroom ranch.

Saturday night, Carter grows up to child.

Sunday morning, Cameron Roseland is born!

And that afternoon, Christy is promoted to Junior Executive.

Roseland Week 4: Domestication

Our fourth household is new this week and includes Cyd Roseland (Knowledge/Romance, Become Criminal Mastermind) and his dog Porthos.

Cyd starts a pet store named Domesticated Beasts, Incorporated. (My husband named it.)

He also takes a job in the architecture career and is quickly promoted.

He has two bolts with Christy Stratton, so he asks her out to Tam Arcade.

Later, he almost sets her rose on fire while attempting to cook dinner.

Things progress quickly and Christy moves in, with $2000 and a LTW to graduate 3 children from college, which won't happen unless she comes into a million dollars somehow. She has a job as a Projectionist in the Slacker career, which she is allowed to keep thanks to the club owned by Jan Cooke, and a gold cosmetology badge, which gives me an idea for a business.

Christy's Cosmetics quickly reaches Rank 1 despite its humble beginnings.

On Friday, Cyd is promoted to Foreman and Christy to home video editor. They congratulate each other enthusiastically.

And the next day discover that their are consequences to that sort of celebration...

On Monday morning, DBI reaches Rank 3 and the cash bonus enables Cyd to renovate the store.

Meanwhile, Christy takes a business job because she thinks it will be more stable for the baby (read: The SimGodess wants a business district) and wonders if Cyd will ever get around to asking her to marry him.
